Standard Video Motion Detection VCR Records video only when motion is detected. Our VMD chip (video motion detection) eliminates the need for a motion detector (PIR) to activate a VCR. This new technology turns this VCR into a Hi-Tech video motion detection activated VCR. Our VMD chip scans the video image looking for a change in pixels. When movement is detected the unit is activated for a predetermined period of time, then shuts off until movement is detected again. This VCR is best used with a hard wired camera. It may be used with a wireless camera as well but there may be some false triggering. Wireless cameras occasionally get interference for one reason or another, This movement will activate recording for that given time. It cannot be used with a quad due to the fact that there is not enough activity to trigger motion detection when only 1 camera is active.
