| Only the transmitter which connects to the camera is weatherproof! The weatherproof transmitter box is 4 inches square and 2 inches deep. The included 6 db receiver will connect to your TV, VCR, or DVR. This can be used with any of our weatherproof cameras. This package has a 3000 foot line of sight rating. When using the weatherproof receiver option and perfect line of sight is attained, the transmission rating increases to 1 mile.
Standard power and video connections will connect to the camera. Each camera requires its own transmitter and receiver. If you only have 1 outdoor wireless camera you can connect it directly to your TV or VCR. If you plan to utilize more than 1 wireless outdoor camera then we suggest a quad to connect to your VCR, a DVR Card for your own pc, or a complete computer based surveillance system if you want to view and/or record multiple cameras simultaneously. The transmitter is built inside a NEMA 4 weatherproof box. with 4 mounting holes. One power supply handles both the transmitter and camera. A separate power supply is required if you are not using a 12 volt DC camera. The channels cannot be changed on this transmitter. Channels are 2.434, 2.453. Wireless
transmission is not for everyone. Distance, quality, and ability
to transmit wirelessly will depend directly on how many obstructions
and what kind of obstructions are in the way such as trees, houses,
buildings, satellite dishes, wireless routers, 2.4ghz cordless phones,
and even cellular towers. If you have any of these in or around
your home or office, then begin by only purchasing one wireless
unit as you may find out only 1 channel is all you can attain. You may upgrade to a weatherproof 6db reciever.
