The included non-weatherproof receiver will connect to your TV, VCR, or DVR.
The outdoor weatherproof receiver offered as an option will greatly improve transmission distance since it will be located outside.
This transmitter can be used with any of our weatherproof cameras.
Special Note: The wireless option on many of our other webpages will be for the 24-TXW25-5 pictured above. Standard power and video connections will connect to the camera. Each camera requires its own transmitter and receiver.The transmitter is located inside a NEMA 4 weatherproof box, with 4 mounting holes. Select between 25 or 50 ft. of power cable. The single power cable will power the transmitter and feed 12 volts DC through the box in order to power the camera. Select between 5, 25 or 50 ft power/video cable. These 2 wires will connect to the camera to supply power to the camera and send the video single to the transmitter. A separate power supply is required if you are not using a 12 volt DC camera. If you only have 1 outdoor wireless camera you can connect it directly to your TV or VCR. If you plan to utilize more than 1 wireless outdoor camera,, or more than 1 camera in general, then we suggest a quad to connect to your VCR, a DVR Card for your own pc, or a complete computer based surveillance system if you want to view and/or record multiple cameras simultaneously. Wireless
transmission is not for everyone. Distance, quality, and ability
to transmit wirelessly will depend directly on how many obstructions
and what kind of obstructions are in the way such as trees, houses,
buildings, satellite dishes, wireless routers, 2.4ghz cordless phones,
and even cellular towers. If you have any of these in or around
your home or office, then begin by only purchasing one wireless
unit as you may find out only 1 channel is all you can attain. This is our most popular transmitter. It is very simple to change the transmitter channel, if necessary, by unscrewing the cover from the weatherproof box and changing the position of 4 dipswitches. 4 channel 3 dB receiver included. Channels are 2.411, 2.434, 2.453, 2.473. Options available with this item are weatherproof receiver for locating outdoors as well, 3 db or 6db rating. Different lengths of power and video cable on the transmitter box are available.
