| This is our top of the line personal DVR. 40Gb internal hard drive records 80 hours of video. The internal rechargeable battery runs the unit for 4-8 hours between charges. Record directly to an SD card if you wish using SD card slot, or record to the built-in 40Gb hard drive. Records in realtime-- 30fps color video. The unit has built in motion detection for recording, adjustable motion detection grid, and all recorded video is timedate stamped. You can program the unit to record in 1 of 3 methods: 1. Manual - Push the record button to begin recording and then push it again to stop recording
2. Schedule - Program it to record on a schedule ( i.e. 5-7pm, 8am-5pm, etc.)
3. Motion Detection - Press record and then have the unit automatically record only when motion is detected The unit measures 5 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 1" inches and weighs only 10oz. Unlike other units, the battery in the 788 is swappable. This means that you may purchase additional batteries, and simply change the battery when one dies out to achieve longer term recording. The 788 comes with one battery, and you may purchase additional batteries if you wish. You may choose to store your video either on the internal 40GB hard drive, or an SD card for total portability. This DVR can work with hard-wired or wireless cameras. For hard-wired cameras, simply connect the video cable from the camera to the video input on the DVR. For wireless cameras, connect the receiver to the video input on the DVR. Video segments are timedate stamped so you know exactly when events happened.
