| Bottom view smoke detector hidden camera. The 122BV series is strictly a bottom view camera. Camera is positioned straight down--Smoke Detector does not actually work. You will have to run a wire through your ceiling or wall to supply 12 volts DC to this camera regardless whether you select wired, or wireless. This item incorporates a high quality CCD board camera inside. The camera is
virtually undetectable, even to the user. The camera itself has approx. an 80
degree field of view. That FOV will lessen somewhat depending on how and what
product the CCD board camera is installed in. The color version has a .1 lux
rating, the standard B&W has a .01 lux rating, and the Super low B&W
option has a .0003 lux rating and is always B&W. The camera will be powered externally by a 12 volt DC power supply. A hard-wired model hidden camera will have a short power and video cable coming out of
the device which normally connects to a power source and recording device. The power and video cables can both be extended in order to connect to power and to the "Video In" of a TV, VCR
or a DVR computer. The wireless versions have a transmitter located inside the
product along with the CCD board camera and both are powered externally by a 12 volt DC power supply. The wireless receiver will plug into the
"video in" of a TV, VCR or DVR computer. A 12 volt power adapter is included
with every receiver. The smoke detector hidden camera does require power, which means you need access to above the ceiling. Some people do use batteries for short term surveillance. The battery will be an external battery that will still have to be above the ceiling. This hidden camera does require a drop ceiling, ceiling tile, or access to an unfinished attic. Wireless transmission is not for everyone.
Distance, quality, and the ability to transmit wirelessly will depend
directly on how many and what kind of obstructions are in the way such
as trees, houses, buildings, satellite dishes, wireless routers, 2.4ghz
cordless phones, and even cellular towers. If you have any of these in
or around your home or office, then begin by only purchasing one
wireless unit as you may find out only 1 channel is all you can attain.
Most of our wireless products have a 1000 ft. line of sight
transmission capability. The majority of our customers have some sort
of obstruction in the way of LOS. In most cases 200-300 ft transmission
is considered good. A wireless camera requires power just like a hard wired camera does.
A wireless camera will not have a video wire connecting the camera to
your viewing or recording source. The included wireless receiver that
comes with each wireless camera will also require power from an
electrical outlet. The "video out" on the receiver must be plugged into
the "video in" of your viewing or recording device in order to
function. Available Models: BP122BWW-BV, BP122BWW-SV, BP122BWG-BV, BP122BWG-SV, BP122CW-BV, BP122CW-SV, BP122CG-BV, BP122CG-SV, BP122XW-BV, BP122XW-SV, BP122XG-BV, BP122XG-SV
