| The
499 is the smallest portable digital recorder with the time/date
stamp available. The overall dimensions are 3" x 2"
x 1". The 499 is a super high resolution portable recorder
with the ability to record 720x480 resolution. This mini recorder
has an SD card slot for recording and can accomodate up to
a 4 gig SD card. The unit has a 2.4" TFT LCD screen that
can be turned off during recording, saving battery life. The 499 body worn DVR will record high quality video and audio. The extremely
small size of this mini recorder makes it perfect for body
worn applications. This unit can be connected to a computer,
a TV or a VCR. The LCD monitor can be set to automatically turn
off after some interval (30 sec, 1 min, 3 min, etc) to help
conserve battery power. A 1 gig SD card will record approx
70 minutes of video and approx 60 minutes of
video and audio using the popular and powerful Divx codec.
A fully charged battery will last approx. 1 hour, and it takes
about 2 hours to charge the battery. One simple step operation is all it takes to swap out the internal rechargeable battery. The 499 works seemlessly with the 182CA button/screw hidden camera. The 182CA works so great with it because it can receive it's power through the DVR. This gives you a much cleaner operation with less equipment and no battery pack needed for the camera.
