| Side view smoke detector. The 150 series is strictly a hard wired side view camera. The camera is positioned at 45 degrees--Smoke Detector does not actually work. Ideal for installation with ceiling tile, drop ceiling or anywhere a person can run wire for power behind the camera housing. This unit can be ordered wireless, but the transmitter will be external from the detector. We would include the AP-1195 TXRX. The transmitter can be situated above the ceiling tile. The wireless versions have a transmitter located inside the product
along with the CCD board camera and both are powered externally by a 12
volt DC power supply. The wireless receiver will plug into the "video
in" of a TV, VCR or DVR computer. A 12 volt power adapter is included
with every receiver. The smoke detector hidden camera does
require power, which means you need access to above the ceiling. Some
people do use batteries for short term surveillance. The battery will
be an external battery that will still have to be above the ceiling.
This hidden camera does require a drop ceiling, ceiling tile, or access
to an unfinished attic Wireless transmission is not for everyone.
Distance, quality, and the ability to transmit wirelessly will depend
directly on how many and what kind of obstructions are in the way such
as trees, houses, buildings, satellite dishes, wireless routers, 2.4ghz
cordless phones, and even cellular towers. If you have any of these in
or around your home or office, then begin by only purchasing one
wireless unit as you may find out only 1 channel is all you can attain.
Most of our wireless products have a 1000 ft. line of sight
transmission capability. The majority of our customers have some sort
of obstruction in the way of LOS. In most cases 200-300 ft transmission
is considered good. A wireless camera requires power just like a hard wired camera does.
A wireless camera will not have a video wire connecting the camera to
your viewing or recording source like a hard wired camera would. The included wireless receiver that
comes with each wireless camera will also require power from an
electrical outlet. The "video out" on the receiver must be plugged into
the "video in" of your viewing or recording device in order to
function. Available Models: BP150
